Sociocast speaks at Stylecaster’s ‘State of Style’ Summit


On Tuesday (2/7/12)  CEO of Sociocast Albert Azout will be speaking at Stylecaster’s inaugural ‘State of Style Summit’. Stylecaster has joined forces with Ford Motor Company and 92nd Street Y for the summit. The summit will be bringing together some of the industry’s top leaders  to consider the highly evolving landscape of fashion, marketing, and new media. The focus will be on the relationship between style and fashion, consumer purchase behavior, and trends in the digital age.

Albert Azout, CEO of Sociocast, participates in DVP Leadership Summit

The 1st annual Detroit Venture Partners (DVP) Leadership Summit summit was held on this past week (1/30 & 1/31) in Detroit.  Albert Azout participated in the panel entitled, ‘Battle Scars, Challenges, and Death Traps’. The Panel consisted of  Verdi Ergun, Chairman, OWN, Bobby Ghoshal, CEO, FLUD and Dan Ward, co-founder, Detroit Labs. Check out some Pictures from the Summit.

Big Data & Analytics Roundtable

Plugged In Ventures hosted a Big Data Roundtable this morning (1/31/12). Giri Iyengar (CTO of Sociocast) spoke on the panel. Coffee flowed as freely as the knowledge from the informative speakers. Giri was amongst other panelists like Co-founder of VoyurlAdam LeibsohnCollective’s Jeremy Stanley, SVP and a Data Scientist and CEO of Lotame, Andy Monfried, The conversation focused around the Ad Agency and marketing space. Here are few things that were said:

1) Advertisers will be more likely to experiment with what works and what does not as cost of processing data decreases.
2) Ad Agencies will start to push out traditional marketers for more data scientist and data analytical skills
3) The power of analytics will stay in small to medium sized companies while larger companies will have to learn to work with them.
